Individualized, Phase Based Fertility Support
Trying to conceive can feel overwhelming, especially when answers are unclear or timelines shift. Whether you are preparing for IVF, navigating cycle irregularities, or trying naturally, your care should feel steady, informed, and grounded in a clear plan.
In natural cycles, treatment is tailored to each phase, supporting follicular development, ovulation, the luteal phase, and the menstrual phase when the lining sheds and prepares to build again. Each stage has a distinct hormonal and energetic focus, and care is adjusted accordingly.
For IVF cycles, support is similarly phased. Treatment may focus on follicular growth and ovarian response, lining development, nervous system regulation before transfer, and ongoing support during the implantation window.
Every treatment plan includes acupuncture. Herbal medicine when appropriate, targeted supplements, and individualized nutrition and lifestyle guidance may also be incorporated to support hormonal signaling, optimize blood flow to the reproductive organs, and cultivate a receptive internal environment for conception.
Acupuncture & IVF Support
Several clinical studies have explored the role of acupuncture alongside IVF and have shown improved outcomes when treatments are integrated thoughtfully into a cycle.
Acupuncture administered before and after embryo transfer has been associated with higher pregnancy rates, as well as reduced stress and anxiety during a time that can feel especially vulnerable. By calming the nervous system, improving uterine blood flow, and supporting hormonal signaling, treatment helps create a more receptive internal environment.
For optimal results, beginning acupuncture three months prior to an IVF cycle allows time to support egg quality and overall hormonal balance. In the month leading up to retrieval, treatments are typically scheduled twice weekly and will include electro stimulation to encourage even follicular growth and coordinated ovarian response. In the month prior to embryo transfer, care focuses on developing a healthy uterine lining, improving blood flow, and regulating the nervous system to create a receptive environment for implantation.
Even if you are entering treatment later in the process, support can be tailored to your specific phase and clinical plan.
Theresa is available for onsite acupuncture on the day of embryo transfer at select Denver fertility clinics.
